I just blew the headlight fuse on our Kodiak 2000.I put in a new fuse in the box. I turned the lights on again, and the fuse blew again. I remember reading about a Kodiak 2000 headlight problem a year or so ago. I did a search for the old messages, but I could not find any references to the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I remember reading about those problems too, but can't be sure what it was. I think it was the bulbs themselves.

Pull out the bulbs, check and see if the fuse blows...it shouldn't (no bulb, incomplete circuit). If the fuse still blows, start tracing your wiring with an ohm meter, see if there is a short to ground.

If you get really stuck and can't find the problem, you could do what I used to see in the auto shop once in a while. When the technician (term used loosely!)couldn't find the short, he would replace the fuse with a solid conductor, then turn on the circuit. When he saw smoke rising, he knew where to look for the proplem. I wouldn't really recommend this, as a fire may result.

I see you're looking for a front bumper. I have a real nice one on one of my Kodiaks. The Warn winch is mounted real high to keep it out of the water most of the time. If you want info just hollar back at me.
