Yeah it did the same to me on my raptor. Jack the *** end up and under the swing arm by the skid plate there are 2 grease zerts. And also one on the right side of the swing arm.(this is the one that squeaks i think. It is hard to see but its there).

I dont have a raptor but i have a ds, but sometime after riding in really dusty conditions i hear a squeak. What it is on mine is at the top of the shock were it is mounted there is a bushing, that is what squeaks (on mine) But i just spray it with WD/40 and it goes away.

I think touy're right about the squeak being a Yamaha trade mark. I've been riding alot in dusty conditions and the rear shock squeake too. Mine seems to be in the shock itself. When I spray off the dust with WD40, the squeak disappears. Doesn't seem to be in the shock mounts. Maybe it's just a cheaply built shock. Anyone know of a reasonably priced aftermarket rear shock for a 2001 Kodiak?

Make sure Your shocks are not bolted on to tightly. IF that happens, the shock mounts will rub the shock and create a lot of sqeaking. Loosen the bolts just enough to stop the squeak. This happened on my friends 250x.

with a good loud pipe you won't here that squeak.and if you ride fast enough you don't here nothing but the wind.

Yep, had the same prob with my Raptor, I was in the middle of the dunes and it bugged the h*** out of me. A buddy of mine had some WD-40 and I sprayed it around the bottom of the swing arm while he was bouncing up and down on it and it went away as a sprayed it. I believe it was at the lower shock mounting on the swingarm.

Hope this helps.
