Wow !, that's pretty impressive out of a stock bore machine!

Dude how can you get 67.4hp out of the 686 kit when you only get 70 out of the FULL 727 kit??
And on pump gas how are you getting those numbers on a 11:1 or lower compression piston??
You Trinity owners amaze me, Im not saying Trinity is a bad company because there not. But your saying to high of numbers for that kit.

One thing to remember, when airraptor installs those FCR's, he just might achieve those numbers. A good 686 will produce somewhere between 59-63hp with stock carbs. Install the FCR's and I think 65-68 is achievable.

I will hopefully have some dyno results of my 727 within a month or so.

Has anybody heard if the FCR carbs can cure the jetting problems associated with running with out the airbox lid?

I know exactly where your coming from chimmer. I don't have mine back together yet, but will in the next week or so, hopefully. I run a Graydon box (no lid) with a 250r filter and have run it on the stock carbs. I will be using the same box with the FCR's and I am hoping It doesn't have the same problems as with using it on the stockers. I'll post as soon as I get it back together.

I know there are others using the FCR's and no airbox lid, how about some feedback on this?

swytak, I will be anxiously awaiting your results with the fcr carbs, I'll start a new post with "fcr" in the title if you think it will grab more attention but I don't have those carbs yet so I won't have any experience to add to the post.

40hp at 6500rpm with stock engine, stock pipe, stage two dynojet kit with a huge hole cut in the lid and minus the snorkel.
