Gas problem

Went riding two weekends ago on my cannibal everything is going fine then I would say about 3 hours of riding it started to stall I checked the gas it had about 1/4 gas left rode for about another 30-45 min. and still stalling and was hard to Start about 3-4 trys. the next weekend took it out with the girlfriend everything seemed ok but only rode for about an hour. this past weekend went out rideing an about 3 hours of rideing it started to do the same thing stalling and hard to start. went back home and filled the gas tank up from 1/4 to 1/2 tank. and there was no stalling... but by the time I made it home it took 1 1/2 hour. before I could test my theory of the bike not running good due to low gas. so my conclusion is if it starts stalling after rideing it awhile than fill her up. IF anyone has a different view or if this has happened to you please tell going to take her in to get looked at just incase....

This happened to my Cannibal as well. It has been in the shop for the past week trying to figure out what is the matter with it. It started to stall when I had a full tank of gas. I changed the fuel filter, charged the battery and everything else. The only way I could keep it running was to keep the engine revved up. A friend of mine was riding with a couple of his friends who have a Cannibal and a Blaze and he said the Blaze was doing the same thing. Let me know if you find anything out. I am running the Blaze mapping with a Graydon Proline pipe.

I took it into the shop today my o-ring was fine but my fuel filter I haven't change I can tell it's not the fuel filter if it was that then It would stall from when i first start rideing this only happens when I have been rideing on it for a while. I'm running 93 octine. HALL your sounds like the O2 sensor problem look on cannondale website under service bulletins and read what they say>

Yeah, there was a bulletin awhile back about the routing of the fuel line up around the engine. It was routed wrong, causing the gas to heat up.
I can kinda explain it, I wish Gabe would chime in on this one....
It's when the gas heats up and the engine sucks vapor instead of gas.
The first thing I'd check out, would be the entire fuel system. It seems that's the culprit. I'd make sure there isn't any kinks in the lines, fuel pump is putting out the right amount of pressure, etc. That's one of the dis-advantages of Cannondales, the regular Joe weekend mechanic, has a tough time finding the problem(including me!).
I wish I could be more help. I'd try PMing Knowsalot or calling Kyle up at R&S Performance.

Check out the Technical Bulletin Section TB02-008, fuel tank return line, I bet this is your problem. I had one doing this a week or so ago, thats what the problem ending up being. After I spent five or so hours checking everything out. So your pretty lucky I was first save you alot of time and got a bulletin posted. Hope this get you riding again.

Jhall - Does your Dale idle very low? Mine had a problem with stalling and not idling worth a crap, but if I had the RPM's runnin a bit higher, it ran just fine. If that's your problem, turn the idle up. That's what I did and it runs perfectly now. Since then, I think I've run about 6 races, lots of practice at the track, and LOTS of general riding around with NO problems.
