Kings right on the money! I will be using a +2 on my 727. I used the stocker on my 686 and it didn't do anything but wheelie, trust me, it get's annoying after awhile!

what about when you add +1 forward A-arms?

I have the +2" extended swingarm and I love it. It is a better balanced machine now. It sure does help keep the nose down on launches and hill climbs! One of the BEST mods I have done to my Raptoid.

I highly recommend an extended swingarm to any Raptor owner - ESPECIALLY to one with a bigger bore.

I am installing a high comp piston and cam with a little port work...but that's all!

BlueLeader,

The claim of +1 forward is just that "a claim". Ask any manufacturer of aftermarket a-arms "for the Rap" and they will tell it is only 1/2". Why? because there is not enough room to go 1" forward. I don't really think that 1/2" is going to make too much diference, especially compared to 2" in the rear. You also have to look at where the weight is transfered. When you lengthen the swing arm you are in reality lightening the pressure on the rear wheels.

I have a +2 swingarm...and with my 690 kit...the damn thing wheelies fairly easy...not as bad as the stock setup....but i can roll on the throttle in 1st...thru 4th...and the front tires come off the ground about 2-4 inches...and this is when i am not pulling on the bars and i am sitting on the seat in a nuetral position..(not to far forward and not too far to the rear)....hehehe....i finally got my raptor jetted properly....man does it pull hard now....

i highly recommend a extended swingarm....make for much better riding...and you can ride harder with it...go for it....

if anyone is thinking about a big bore kit for your raptor....i highly recommend it....a stock raptor is slow compared to a big bore kit raptor....all of us who have done motor work will agree....hehe...i love my raptor now..it has the right amount of power and handling for me...hehehe...

herbdon out....
