My dealer just informed me that suzuki is very close to calling a recall on the Z. he said he has already had 5 people that have come with a broken axle. he said he had it under warranty so i have nothing to worry about.

My axle has already been replaced because it was bent, althrough it was a slight bend it wasn't bad enough where I couldn't drive it anymore. Now my new axle is bent even more than the replacement one. Some people have bent them really bad to the point where you can't really ride it anymore but I have heard of no one breaking an axle.

Although you shouldn't have to spend anymore money out of your pocket, it would be easier to just buy an aftermarket axle that isn't going to keep bending. Stock axles have never been strong and never will be. I would be suprised if they do a recall. Seems like the Raptor had many more problems than the Z and they never had a recall. We'll see....

If you think about it, have your dealer install the new stock axle under warranty, then take it home and take that axle off. Put it up for sale on E-bay, because some poor sole who's dealer won't warranty it will be looking for one cheaper then buying from the dealer. It will sell!

Take that money and put it toward a new aftermarket axle and install it yourself. This way you get a good tough axle for a 1/3 or so of the cost.

Even if you buy the aftermarket out of your own pocket, I can guarentee that the stocker, being brand new, will sell fast! Then just put that cash back in your pocket. But, you guys need not wait til a recall, do it as soon as you can.
