Alright guys,

I'm repacking a Supertrapp right now. I've got the cap and discs off, but can't figure out what pulls out of the casing. Is it just the baffle, or does the baffle come out with the ring that has the threaded holes in it also. Don't want to just start ripping on it with pliers trying to pull it out. Thanks guys,

If it is like my Supertrapp IDS, the whole insides have to come out,the repackable part is behind the plates you mount the discs to,and it is all welded together. I had to take a piece of wood just smaller than the muffler, and tap it out, well actually,to get it started, had to give it a few real good whacks, ended up bending the end cap a little, nothing a little bending back and retacking with a welder couldn't fix !!! If yours does come out hard, see if there are any burrs or high spots, and sand them down,I did that, and now I can remove it a lot easier.
Hope this helps you out.

You need to take the rivets or screws out from the housing that go into the ring that the disks were screwed to. Once those are out, grab hold of the ring the disks were screrwed to and pull. It will come out one way or another. Once repacked. Get some high temp scilicone and after you reinsatll the newly packed baffle squeeze a nice clean bead of the high temp scilicone between the housing and the disk attatchment ring. I was losing my packing out from the small gaps that the pipe had in those areas. Of course I'm just guessing yours will be similar.
