Amp link. Yay or Nay? That is the question!

ALLJUICE, take this for what it is worth....
I know of two different people that have tried this "contraption" and both of them said it was the biggest waste of money they spent on their quads. They would have rather spent the money somewhere else instead. Actually neither of them still have them on their quads now. Neither were on Raptors tho. But both were on different brand machines.
I do not know their specifics.... they just say that it doesn't do a damn thing!
Maybe someone will elaborate on this issue a little further...
Toid.

This has come a couple of times before, and I believe the common answer was "it works well till it don't". Complaints were loudness and early bearing failure (the amplink takes the brunt of the torque). I've never seen anyone happy with it long term.

Well mine has been on the banshee for lets see nearly 7 years and ive put bearings in it once. It does have some chain noise but when your running through the woods and the pipes are firing like crazy you don't hear it. Between the shock adjustments I made and getting the chain adjusted PROPERLY it works well for me. I had problems with it biting a little to well and wheelieing all the time. Now it's a little more controllable. It was worth the money for me, but for others it has not. mine launches better off the line better now than before when it would just wheel stand. Its all about personal preference. There'a always stuff out there that will work for some and not others.

i had an amp link on my 96 warrior and it worked alright until i got into some shallow water and the bearings went up on it. if you never ride in any water you should be fine. personally i think it is designed more for dune riding. also it is very noisy. in my opinion i would not recommend it for the ridiculous price they want for it. there are some chain sliders out there that do practicaly the same thing as the amp link. thats just my opinion though.
