Hey guys,

Need some good info and somewhat quick. My buddy has a 01 Raptor and we're getting all kinds of front to back play in the rear end. We've tightened the two bolts that run through the plates on both sides of the carrier quite aways beyond torque specs and bottoms the chain adjustments out and still cannot get rid of the play.
Second, how do remove those side plates to get at the carrier? There must be a bearing wrecked or something inside, but cannot figure out how to get inside. Afraid to start prying with a BMF crow bar and hammer?
If anyone knows how to take that apart, we would appreciate it immensely, and any ideas on the problem. It will probably be pretty apparent once we can get it apart.
We got less than a week to till the next race so any info is awsome. Thanks guys.

The plate on the right side take a little PERSUASION to come off. I took a long piece of wood and a large hammer and just hit it on the top, then the bottom (back and forth) until it came off. The left side plate is actually part of the carrier I believe and once you get the right (brake)side off, the other will come out in one piece. You better go ahead and order your self some seals and bearings now, CYA. Good Luck.
