I recently puchased a '01 Raptor w/ minimal hrs on it. I have been reading horror stories about the transmissions. What exactly have the problems been? Is there anyway to avoid them? Any way to tell if problems are begining to happen. I noticed mine is hard to get into reverse? Is this common? Any input is better than none. Thanx LouV14

 

I think pretty much all the raptors to date are a little tricky to get into reverse so I wouldnt call that an early sign of tranny failure. JMO
