What is your fuel price where you live? Here in Oregon it is $1.71 at the cheapest place. here is a mail that a friend sent me..
Last year on April 30,1999, a gas out was staged across Canada and the
U.S to bring the price of gas down, and it worked It's time to do something about it again Only this time lets make it for three days instead of just one.
The so-called oil cartel decided to slow production to drive up gasoline
prices. Lets see how many Canadian\American people we can get to
ban together for a three day period in April, NOT TO BUY ANY GASOLINE,during those three days.
LETS HAVE A GAS OUT. Do not buy any gasoline from APRIL 7,2000,
THROUGH APRIL 9, 2000. Buy what you need before the dates listed
above, or after, but try not to buy any during the GAS OUT. We brought the prices down once before, and we can do it again.
Come on North America lets stand together. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Another thing..some people say that compared to Europe we have cheap fuel prices..well in France they don't have to drive 100's of miles to get to where they are going because there country is smaller than one US State. And they dont pull a 25 foot trailler with 2 quads in the bed of there truck for 500 miles while getting 9 miles per gallon either (96'chev Z71 4x4 350V8)..my 2 cents, Joe

Tell me about gas prices. I just turned 16 and have to pay for gas in my '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee (5.2L V8). That thing guzzles the gas! I have gone through three-quarters of a tank one week. And I have to buy (premium) gas for the quad.

The gas out is a great idea, it may have worked last year, but this year I think it would give a false impression on things. I was listening to the radio yesterday morning (3-16-2000) and it announced that today (3-17-200) there was supposed to a meeting with the OPEC (so called oil cartel) about increasing oil production. They have already agreed to doing so, just today was suppose to finalize things. Hopefully if all goes well they will increase our the oil production, and from what I heard off the radio gas prices should be lowering by late spring/early summer. That why having a gas out might give a false feeling, because if things go well today gas prices will already be gettin lowered.
