I was wanting to know how many of you operate your machines like this, I was considering a revlock clutch and it does not disengage when up or down shifting. Anything replies are appreciated.

Thanks

On full throttle upshifts, I will grab some clutch, but I also just stab the shifter and don't blip the throttle. On downshifts, I don't touch the clutch usually.

I make it a habit to use the clutch when upshifting.

I have usually put myself in a bog-down situation when downshifting,
so I rarely use the clutch.

I don't use the clutch except to get moving.Including my quad, atc,Jeep,Scout, pickup and my 18-wheeler!

As long as it doesn't grind nuthing bad happens, you need to give it a little throttle when downshifting.

I don't use the clutch much either.
If it feels good, do it.

Do what?

Not using the clutch will make it last much longer.

It can damage the trans if you shift w/o letting off on the gas or force it.It takes a little practice to downshift, dont just downshift, you must raise the rpm's to match the lower gear.

A Jake break isn't very effictive without a turbo .So plan on that too!

i know a rider that doesnt use his clutch at all when we go to the mx track..its way to stiff..so its hard to pull that hag of a clutch in during a mx track..but ive just made it a habit to pull in the clutch when im both downshifting and upshifting..does it harm anything at all if you dont use the clutch while downshifting, because ive heard a lot of guys do it??
