New bike for the missus!!
#1
Hello folks....i've always been a honda fan but only because of their reliability....i think that most of the other brands outperform them....however, i'm beginning to think that bombardier is quite a realiable machine - and i'm pretty sure that's what i'll get for the missus, especially with the 3-year waranty...i don't know much about bombardier machines so i'm turning to you guys for advice...she doesn't need a real fast machine, but it has to have a comfortable ride - that's the MOST important thing, as she has a bad back...my Rancher is murder on her....and it also has to be 4wd...so what do you guys suggest?

I would say the Outlander.
Its probably the most optioned out bike period.
1. Disk brakes mounted on the diff side not in the wheel.
2. 2wd/4wd
3. Visco lock front diff (Best front diff on the market.
4. rear independent suspention. (Best design, allows wheels to go up and down and not camber as much as polaris and yamaha's system.
5. Very good storage.
6. New SST frame makes bike very light and nimble while offering more strength and durability. Plus make going over obsticles easier.
7. Skidoo Style speedo.
8. bombardiers CVT tranny makes all other manufactors belt drives look like crap. I say this because well all other manufactors are using just a varible clutch and pulley, bombarder is using a clutch and pulley with a 6 lever cam for accel and a sepreat system for decel. This puts the most belt pressure and allows for diffrent accel patterns depending on if your booting down the road or pulling a trailer.
9. Rotax 400 engine makes power like a 500 or some 600. Very strong and reliable.
Read the arcticle on www.atvconnection.com main site. Just scroll down. Its got pics and opinion. I have owned the quest and traxter and recently the DS all are trouble free with 17000km between all of them.
The quest is also a good choice but it might be to big. Theres no point buying the quest now that the outlander is out since the quest is more suited towards work.
