Need WAY More Power For 250 Recon

Hi
i have a 99 recon 250 and it just cant cut it. i have alot of money to spend (parents money) and i need to bring up my horsepower by alot

any suggestions on how to get more power?? wright me back

2002 Quest650 winch, windsheild, seat etc.
1999 Recon250 decals, bearclaw tires
1989 Recon125 Peice of (BLEEP) nothing

You can do 3 things... either sell it and get a better quad since you have the finances, keep it and live with the small engine or rip that engine out and stick someother engine in that has some power! seriously though just get a bigger quad i dont think thier is much or all aftermarket for it.

well i dont want to sell it becaus its a nice bike and i dont have another engine to put in it but how much more power do you think a k@n air filter and a new exhaust pipe would put the 250 to?

FMF Megamax II pipe and K&N filter (and of course a rejet). It made a HUGE difference on our machine!!

Get an exhaust, a k&n power kit. And also get high compression piston for a 250EX.

go to www.atvnews.com and look under project quads. $700 can get it to run with a 300ex just by removing racks, new tires/rims, exhaust, Filter and jets.

I remember back some time ago they had a whole kit just for the recon/250ex engine. Search around and see if you can find it.

powerroll.com has what you need. its for 250ex but will work on recon.
