Gosh. I was reading some old posts on how people claim their Raptors are the fastest thing around. I whopped butt on every quad I drag raced this weekend at Bull Gap. This is including one 686 trinity modded raptor with paddles and a few other engine mods and some kind of racing pipes. I beat him up the hill by atleast 4 or 5 quad lengths. I didnt even have paddles or sand expierence either. I dont see how people can get away saying they are the best or the fastest. That just makes me mad. I really want to go up aginst some one that is really awesome, or one of those 700+ cc Raptors. Any one up for a whopping? Meet me at Bull Gap.. I will tell ya next time I am going.

I actually find it very fun when peo9ple brag there quad up and then you hand them there ***! I have a ported 370 long rod in my banshee with 34mm carbs and toomey pipes. I try to make it look as stock as possible. I always roost them in sand when I race. But I pick my races carfully with the faster banshees so I don't get roosted. I just bought a 03 raptor last tuesday. They have good power, I just wanted one for riding. My banshee is a little too high strung to go put around on the trails. Haven't seen a big bore raptor yet at silverlake. But this winter my shee is getting some more port work, cpi pipes 6+ swingarm and alky. So I'll be ready for just about anything.

 

Oh boy heres another one of those posts thats going nowhere. Are you shure your old enough to drive. Hmmm or your not related to Corndog. Get real youll beat some raptors ds and others but not all. Speed cost $$$$ and im shure theres some with deeper pockets than you.

That is exactly what I try to do. Most of my mods you cannot notice from the outside, so people think its stock except for the pipe. I cannot wait to get some paddles and show even the alcohol banshees up. Its just so fun racing, I could do it for a living. Seeing Im still young (16) I might just be able to get into that. But a medical carrier sounds alot more promising. I dont tend to pick my races, its just like who ever is there when you pull up. I raced some banshees that I thought would hand ME my ***, but it ended up being the other way around!!

It is no great secret that a 2-stroke can be made to be ALOT faster then a 4-stroke. Any atv enthusiast with any common sense and that has been around the sport for any length of time will confirm this, it's really NO SECRET!! Typically cost will be ALOT lower to modify the 2-stroke as well.

With that said, I'll give you your shot at a medium built big bore Rap. I will be at Silver Lake MI on Saturday, August 31 all day. By no means will I say that I will beat you. I undestand what the capablities of a well built Banshee is capable of. BUT, if want to see what a decent big bore Rap will do, I would be more then happy to accomadate your request to see what you can do against it.

Just to let you know, I run just over 100 octane and use a short little +2 swing-arm.

Banshee dude, speed is relative and amoung 4 strokes the Raptors own all others right now.

I'll bet you a dollar there will be another Banshee out there that will dust yours!

 

I know I would. I will try to plan a trip out there. Let me see if I can get some friends to pitch in for some gas and I will try to make it out there.

 

Your a funny guy there Nick. You come on here talking a "little trash" and "talking up" your Shee then say "you'll see if you can scrape up enough gas". Your joking right?

If this is the truth - then you will do whatever it takes (scraping together gas money - that's sooooo funny dude) to get to Silver Lake on Aug 31!!!!!!!!!!
