if both of these wuads were stock, which would win? ive seen so many banshees, but not really any Lt's, so i guess i was just wondering which would win.

 

LT500R would kill it. A stock Banshee only has 33 to 35 horsepower at the rear wheels.

 

I double that! Bone stock a Zilla is the fastest. Now once you start to modify that becomes another story. However, the stock Zilla is plenty for me and I will probably never need more power! Well maybe a little, like pipes, jets, etc

 

Dont know about stock vs. stock, but myslef and MR350X settled the ported zilla vs ported banshee question a few months ago at the drag strip. Banshee won every time... to his credit, im not sure he was completely jetted in right, but hey, run what ya brung and dont whine..

I agree with RoostKing this is a very tired debate that can go on as long as there are zilla and banshee owners willing to defend their machine.

 

now what the MFgs really got to do to bring us into the 21st century right is.They have to make a brand new direct injection efi Banshee and LT 500 to start the hipo rumor mill all over again.LOL

 

A stock LT500 would kill a stock Banshee. My buddy had a stock LT500 and I had a stock Banshee and we would race down a blacktop road and he would beat me every time. I put on some new pipes and then I would beat him. Stay side by side through 3rd gear then I would pull away.

 

i always thought the lt and the shee had similar horsepower, i think a while back, someone said the lt had 40 or so horse and i remember more recently, a stock banshee was rear wheel dynoed at 42 or so, but its all in the handling and rider input

 

A stock 500 should kill a stock shee. But once you start porting and adding pipes it starts being the other way around.

 

I think people use the term "kill" a little too readily. The Zill is is faster but "kill" might be too strong of a term. Besides, how often do you see stock Zillas and Banshees running around.
