I went to a track over the weekend and I was racing a piped z 400 with hole shot (front and rear) and set up for mx, he knew how to hit all the jumps and every turn (it is his track) but I stayed with him, in the corners I had the hole shot, mid and top. I am surprised he dint get the hole shot because I have 22's on the rear and he had like 18's or 20's.

It sounds like you might be a pretty good rider then. They always say racing is 80% rider and 20% machine. If he knew the track and was riding a machine built for a track, while you were riding a machine built for open desert and keeping up, you've got to be doing something right.

The reason I was always in front and dint have to pass him is because I skipped some of the track (2 doubles) that helped me out but when we were on parts that I felt good on (2 50ft table tops, few doubles, whoops) I stayed in front or right on the side of him, it was a great time. And it was only my second time on a Mx track.
