Grizzly 660 drive belt tension?
#1
I'm currently checking the drive belt for wear, nothing noticable at 600 miles. Paging through the shop manual I can't find any instruction on proper belt tension/deflection, there's about one inch of play if I pull the belt in both directions (pushing the belt between the sheeves and then away from them). Is this too much and how do I adjust properly?

i might be wrong here, but i dont think so. you dont adjust the tension on the grizzly. it is set just the way it is. it has constant tension on it once you put it into gear, so no need to adjust it. the think is so easy due to that too. i just slap it on, and go, lol.

A new belt for the Grizz is around $100, but I have been told that you will never have to buy one unless you do something stupid and burn the belt out.
The tension is automatically set, there is no adjustment to set the tension. The sheaves do the adjusting as the rotate, so just hop on and enjoy the best Big Bore on the market.
