Air pooring out of my crankcase breather

after i ride my DS hard then shut it off air comes pooring out of my crankcase breather hose. i have moved it a lot of times and i know it is not pinched, why causes this and is it bad? please help me.

that's very strange - I have no idea where air would come from after the motor is off. If it was pumping out while the motor was running I'd say there is blow-by around the piston rings, and it would be accompanied by oil too.

NOW THAT U MENTION IT YES THERE WAS OIL ON MY SNORKLE AND A LITTLE ALL OVER MY ENGINE!!!!! WHAT IS CAUSING THIS??????

Well if that's what it is than the combustion pressure is leaking around your rings and into the crankcase causing it to have a positive pressure. The first things that comes to mind is Bad Rings and or scores on the sleeze. Either way you will need to pull the head off and take a look.

HEY excessive blow by is not uncommon in some ds's mine has perfect compression and has always had excessive blow by.if your compression is alright and the mess bothers you talk to jeff he has a system to keep his pretty little engine clean and it works good!! like blood on a warrior i consider it battle scares!!the more i bleed the more hurt i put on someone!! i dotn care about a oil mess, i just dont want my DS to be in trouble, so AZsand u are saying ur DS has air coming out of the crankcase hose after u turn it off correct?

I can hear a slight wisp of presure when i turn it off i went out and checked!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] if you run a compressoin test and it is good then all is good!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Try a leak down test first,but I have always had blowby...and the funny sounds from the breather.
