Dirtbike sales stats.

Guess which was Honda's best selling years for the CR line?? Yep..1993-1996

Guess which was Suzuki's best selling year for the RM line?? Yep..1997

Guess which has been Yamaha's best selling years for the YZ line and started the "Boys in Blue" theme that still hasn't shown any signs of slowing down?? Yep..1998-2002

Now......which popular motorcycle racer propelled each of these brands to their success for each of those years??

Yep..Jeremy McGrath......although he hasn't held the SX championship in the last two years, he is still by far the most popular MX racer out there.

Now.......guess who he signs with come Monday morning that includes a 4 year contract. 2 years as a racer. Then retiring and becoming team manager and part of the development program within the factory for another 2 years.

He He He
Come on now...it's a slow Saturday night.....guess.

KTM baby, oh yeah... MC was turning lap times over 2 seconds faster with a KTM 250 compared to his YZ... I think Carmichael is in trouble for '03!!!

Yeah baby yeah!!!! I see you keep up with the offroad world Alaska.

[I was hoping to keep the guys who haven't heard yet guessing for a few hours but oh well....this kind of news spreads fast doesn't it??......LOL]

McGrath in Orange.....If he can do for the KTM250SX what Pingree and Langston have done for the 125SX, I look for a big year of sales with the KTMs.

KTM dirtbike sales almost mirrored that of Suzuki last year. And Kawasaki dirtbikes aren't that far ahead either.

This will be the first year that KTM has supported a 250 class team.

Can't wait till October.

The thing with Carmichael is that no one else seems to have the drive to actually try and knock him off week after week.

I feel that Pastrana is going to be the only guy to keep him on his toes....but a recent injury may keep him out of SX....or at least for the first part of the season.

McGrath can race Carmichael's pace, but Carmichael has alot of confidence, especcially with his 14 moto win record so far in the outdoors. Someone needs to slow him down in the outdoors, or hope for a first race crash like last year.

Otherwise, it will be RC winning again......although I despise the little ****

I hate Carmichael. He's such a jerk to people it's not even funny. My favorite riders by FAR are Preston, Vuilleman, and Stewart. I like Preston because he's got a kick @ss mentality about racing, Vuilleman cause he's a hard core kinda guy, and Bubba cause he straight up hauls.

Anybody catch the pic of Vuilleman in TransWorld? MX338 he was wearing a cut off Yamaha jersey, and riding the BLUE 250(I said blue because there are hardly ANY stickers on his bike. I love it)

I hope MC does good this year. After seeing him get lapped last year, I wasn't much of a fan. Guys can doubt all they want... but the KTM's FLY.

Oh, I think MC will have the drive, because he definitely has the heart to go out there and get it done. Pastrana will be up there, too (he is only out for four months, I believe. He'll miss the US Open but should be ready for '03 SX). Besides Tim Ferry, I'm not sure who else will be able to run with those guys...

I bet KTM will sell every single 250SX they make this year... MC definitely pulls $$$ for whatever brand he rides, whether he is a factory rider or on his own team, the SX king's endorsement will be felt.

On a side note- does this mean the mags will give the '03 Katoom a better review because MC will be on one???

oh yeah, and Carmichael needs to learn some humility...

Carmicheal needs to learn to give something back to his fans like every other rider out there,i guess being number gives up that responsibility...Laracco has the determination to take down carmicheal and so does ferry but pastrana probably has the best talent of them all..

Carmicheal needs one of those sabactials that the catholic priests get when there accused of something.

They disappear for awhile and returned all cured.
