The outcome from what, a drag race, an MX race, what???? The Honda Fourtrax 250R was and still is the best quad ever built!! It only weighs 328 pounds and with some minor performance enhancements such as pipe, air filter and jetting, it has the best power to weight ratio of anything ever built. It also has the best frame geometry ever designed. That's why almost all aftermarket frame manufacturers copies it, including the Z400, Cannondale, the 400EX, Laeger, PRP, Walsh, Lonestar, etc., etc.

A stock cannibal is better than a stock 250R in every single way.

Well...the 250r is the slowest in the bunch in a drag. Depending if it is a powervalve LT or not...it could be right their with the Raptor and Shee in a drag.

As I mentioned, spend a little over $200 on the R to get a pipe, rejet and an air filter and you've got the best power to weight ratio of any quad ever built. That's funny, I own an R and a Cannibal and there is no way the Cannibal is better "in every single way" to the R!! The R hangs right with the Cannibal in a drag race and on the track is where the R is most comfortable, plus the Cannibal costs twice as much. It's all about power to weight ratio and the R rules with the mods I've mentioned!!

The quadzilla has BY FAR the best power to weight ratio. Pipe and jet the R and still leave the Zilla stock...it still has the best ratio.
Oh yeah...an lt250 weighs only 324 and has more power than an R.....bump the R down again for best ratio "ever built"

Zilla 396 pounds....around 55 horsepower flywheel-0.1389
R Stock- 328.....around 35 horsepower flywheel-0.1067
R piped and jetted....around 42 flywheel-0.1280

My piped and jetted 87 LT which has more power than an R....will not hang with a cannibal in a drag.
But I guess that depends on you definition of hanging.

Drag racing is only a small part of a vehicle's performance, I don't believe I've ever seen the "Zilla" out on the MX track!! As far as that goes, I don't believe I've seen the lt250 on the track either!!
The Honda 250R was and still is the greatest quad ever built. I repeat, why do you think everybody has copied it's frame geometry. Did they copy the Zilla or the LT250, don't think so!!

I dont care about the track thing...I was just correcting you on the power to weight thing.

No doubt the 250R is a dominant force on the track. But I have a fealing they can improve on the original frame design from 15 years ago...hence the cannibal.

Also, when doug gust was racing for suzuki in 85 and in 86 (when R's came out) they won the championship against R's. Then suzuki got out of racing. I have a fealing if gust would have kept racing for suzuki through the next 5 years or so and suzuki wouldnt have quit, the LT would be a little bit more respected than it is now, maybe almost to the R's level.

Anyways....any R that is racing, the only thing left on it that is still original R is the damn frame, and even then they strengthen it...so I guess you can say the 250R had one of the best frames ever built...cause as a stock quad as a whole...It couldnt do diddly.

blah blah blah blah, you can all talk about who made the best quad from the factory but people forget 1 thing you can't win a race if YOU CAN'T DRIVE IT

I have seen a guy on a near stock 250R beat a guy on a fully modified 250R in a drag race because the guy on the modified 250R could not drive it

Hey, didn't you guys hear. The 250R was the best quad that has ever been produced. It's best at everything, fastest, handles the best, and is perfect for every rider in every stuation. Period. Don't even think about buying anything else no mater how good you THINK it is, it will never be as good as a 15 year old 250R.

(yes, I'm being sarcastic)

Now to be serious. Yes, he 250R was a nice ride for the 4 years that Honda had the guts to make them. Of course they were slow compared to all other 2 strokes of the day. Yes, they were light but all the welds and gussets in the frame certainly rasied the weight a good bit I'm sure. We all know that nobody actually races a real 250R since everything is aftermarket to include the frame.

Man, talk about resting on your laurels!!!
