Recon Snow Plow
#2
yea you can, i used to have a foreman s, and a recon, the recon i put a cycle country plow on it, 48", dont go 60" cause recon couldnt handle that big. with a 48" plow and chains it did alright in light snow only about 6 inches. for everything bigger i pulled out the sportsman 400 with a 60 inch plow, that does the job just fine.

Cycle country makes a mount kit for the Recon. They have 42, 48, and 60 inch blades available for the Recon. I would stay away from the 60 as it its too big for the Recon. I just ordered a 42 inch plow for my wife Suzuki Ozark (same size as the Recon). They also have a plastic (with steel frame) 48' plow. It is several lbs. lighter than the all steel one. Put plenty of weight on the rear of the quad and they should push light snow just fine. I used to have a 4x4 Polaris and that was a beast in the snow. I doubt this 2x4 will do near as well, but for no more snow that we get, it should work fine. Check out their website at Cycle Country

Wow,thanks for the info.I talked to a guy at the dealer and he said that a 42in. plow would be fine for a Recon.A different dealer said they didnt make plows for it and that a Recon wouldnt plow any good.O well,I'm so excited about snow that I'll probably plow every 2 inches that falls.

I would agree that the 42 inch is the best option for the smaller machines. I haven't picked up mine from the dealer yet as the mount is still backordered. I also got the electric lift kit. It was only about $60 more and makes plowing easier. I also enjoy plowing. Last year was a bummer. Only snowed twice and the wife plowed the driveway one of those times. I hate dealers that just say they don't make a mount kit for a machine without bothering to check. I guess they don't want your business. You will plow just fine with the 2wd. Put weight on the back, lower your rear tire pressure a little, and don't try to get carried away with the amount of snow you push at once. With my 4wd, I used to pile it up just to have something to plow into. Won't be doing that with this 2wd.
