I have had my 2002 Raptor about 4 months and the upper A-Arm bushings are shot. From what I gather this is normal for the type of woods riding I do. What is the best replacement? Bronze or nylon? Any tips are appreciated.

Have you been lubing the arms periodically? They will develop a little slop when they need greased.

You guys may want to take a look at albaaction.com. They've got a full Delron bushing set for like $20.00 or so that should work well. Also, what about Pivot Works bearings for the arms?

I ordered the Alba Delron bushing kit. They say they last 8 times longer than anything else. Ha Ha. For 20 bucks I'll give them a try. Thanks Slappie.

Glad I could help out. Be very careful when installing these. Use a press instead of the old hammer and block of wood method. If you hit them off center, the lip will break easily. They're very tough but brittle. I now have upper A-arms running 1 Alba busing and 1 stock because I was a dumb a_s and wasn't careful. I probably could have re-used them even with the broken lip, but didn't want to take the chance. I'll pick up some new ones when needed. Good luck.

Matt
