does anyone have a pic of a lakota with durablue eliminators
#2
Hello,I just installed a DuraBlue Eliminator 2+2 axle on my 2002 Kawasaki Lakota Sport 300.I also flipped the front wheels for better width on the front too. This thing looks wide,i still have the stock wheels/tires all around. With the 2+2 Eliminator axle on the rear it made half of my rear tires go out of the foot pegs.I dont have any pics yet cause i still have it under the "knife" (oil change, flipping front wheels, and installing the chain roller).Once i finish with my projects on it ill take some pictures of it so all you "Lakota Sport Riders" can see it and get some ideas for yourself.Till then quad pals!!!

I've had the front rims turned around for about 9 months now. It handles a hole lot better and turns much better. Not near the tippy feeling you get by having them the stock way. You have to turn the valve stem around and put it in backwards. Then on the other side of the rims you drill a 7/16th hole and stick new valve stems in.
Take a look at these pictures to see what the front looks like. Not very good pictures just me and my son messing around last sunday. Some one took some pictures and posted them on the net, one way to get on the net, lol.

I like those nerfs you have lisa, never seen any for the lakota yet. Are they for a lakota and how much were they?

Hello Gaff,
Yes, they are made for the Lakota by DG you can only get the red netting though. Ordered them from my local kawi dealer. Husband had to use a little muscle to get them to bolt up correctly. I like them, I think they look better than kawi's. My nephew says they work great (he is the reason for the new axle) so I guess he sould know. Only draw back is you have to remove the heel guards.
website is www.dgperf.com but they are having a proble with pics so you can not see them but anybody who can order from dg can get them for you.
On pics axle is only out +2. +4 is really wide.
Your quad looks really good with the tires turned out. Think I will do mine.

Anything is better than the stock filter. I put the K&N in first and it needed jetted rite away. It ran a bit quicker but got hotter than before.
The real good mods are the IDS2 pipe, K&N jet kit, K&N filter and 13T front sprocket. I got all this from rockymountainatv.com for $300 to my door, not a bad deal.It realy improves over the stock performance by a hole bunch.
The 13T front sprocket was the best mod I think ($6.99) it took all that shifting away and just made it plain ole better to ride.
Another mod I realy thought was a must was heavier clutch springs from K&G factory clutches ($9.00). This let the clutch grab mutch better. Even when it's cold the clutch worked much better.
The final thing I thought made a world of difference was changing out the tires. You just would not believe the differences in handling between stock and after market tires. I wouldn't get to blown away with high dallor tires thow, the less exspensive ones work graet too.
I believe flipping those front tires around will really help that axle out. I really perfer the front wider than the rear but I would say you need a little width on your front now. It works out real well too.
It all depends on what you want to do. But I'll tell ya I've done all kinds of things to lakota's and they realy are a excellent all around quad. They are bullet proof in my opinion. But having 4 kids I can tottaly understand the damage, lol.
