What would happen if your quad as totally submerged udner water. Would you just have to sit there until it drys out?

 

That will depend on what you want to happen after you get it out.

Fuel tanks full of water and gas, gas floats.
Carb could be a problem
Motor ??? could be full of water so drain and refill and run at idle several times. Head if you hydro lock the motor things may break, remove spark plug and turn motor over a until no water comes out.

Some people have actually done this to their quad.
