My question is about the length of these drag races, such as 1/8th mile(528ft) or 1/10th mile(660ft), so my question is haven't these quads reached their top speed long before then?

 

The track I race at is 100 yards (300 feet). In that distance you can reach around 55 mph which is not near the top speed. I also thought that I would point out that there is no way that 1/10th mile is longer than 1/8th mile.

 

Sorry about the mixed #s, is the 55mph on the cannondale? I am looking to buy a cannondale, and hoping it will be the right addition to the quads I have, cause I can only afford one more before buying a house.

Yes it is on the cannondale. I love mine. I raced last night and there were 3 cannondales and we came in 1, 2, 3 and we were racing against 3 raptors, 1 ds 650's, 3 Z400's, 2 banchee's, 3 400ex's and even a 400ex with a 440 kit and several other modifications couldn't touch us.
