Hey there!

I live near Indianapolis, in Mooresville. I also have 6 other buds that ride quads with me. We JUST got back from Haspin on Wednesday. There was 7 of us there as well. It was a good time.

We ride at the Badlands more than we do Haspin, just because the variety of terrain they have to offer. We love the B-lands. Just wish they had a real dragstrip and some more jumps.

Hey, I've got a thread going in the "DUNES AND DUNE MACHINES" forum about a ride we are going on at Silver Lake sand dunes in Michigan if you are interested. It is titled "S.L. ride on Sept 17th & 18th".

Where abouts is Brownstown? We usually always post when we are going somewhere to ride..... just keep an eye out!!

Were you at B-lands 2 weekends ago (8/10)? I saw someone there on a Canondale.... you don't see many around these parts, I was just wondering?!

Later,
"TOID"

I was there on the 17th. Had 3 dale's there that day.

Wish there was a better strip there also. Ran on blacktop before and it is very dangerous because of all the sand on it. VERY slick at top speed!!!!!!!!

Can't make Silver Lake through week but would love to go there sometime. Going to Haspin on 31st.(unless it rains a lot, then it will be back to badlands) I ride with 4 to 12 other guys. Rarely can everyone make a ride. No Raptors yet, though. Mainly 400EX's, a Z400, and some polaris's.

Brownstown is about 10 mile west of Seymour which is south on I65.

Where do you usually post your rides? Probably going to hit GNCC in Ohio in couple weeks. Ever ran one?

I have never run in any type of race, sounds like fun. But there isn't anything close around here to do that stuff (that i know of). GNCC would be very challenging for me..... don't know if I could handle it or not. I'm getting too darn old for that stuff these days!

I usually post our upcoming rides in the "where to ride" forum. The Silver Lake post I just happen to put in the "dunes and dune machines" forum. We ride faithfully every month, with our little group somewhere. We have been wanting to hit some places in KY too. But we probably won't have time before the end of the year to do that now.

Heard Dugger is back open but never been there. Do you have any info on it? Think it is over by Illinois.

Hey eRAPTOID check
GNCC The last one is in Crawfordsville, IN. I don't know how close that is to you, but if your interested go check it out, even if it to just watch.

I planning on being at the rest of the Gncc's. I currently in 22nd in the stock 4-stroke on a speed. I don't know if I'll be racing (I'm hoping to), but I have to wait to see what the doc has to say about the collar bone tomorrow. Have you ever ran one?
Hope to see you there.

Turbo, I'm not sure about Dugger..... haven't been there or heard anything lately on it. That would be nice if it was. If you find out more, let me know!

LT, yeah I am aware of that one, and it is a KILLER from what I've heard. It's called the IRONMAN and it is treacherous. I guess all kinds of quads get torn up there. I can not take on something that extreme. It is fairly close to me, about 40 mins away. We were going to check it out last year, but I wound up having to work! It looks as though I have to work again this year on the dates in October. But I am off for the November 10th date.... I will just have to go to that one,,,, as a SPECTATOR of course!!

I went to the Ironman in '00 as a spectator. It was awesome. Take your quad. Otherwise you will have to walk everywhere and it's a long fricking walk to get to some of the places. They had to bring lifeline heli. in for one of the pros. Not sure who, but they roped off a huge circle in the field for it to land and they wouldn't let anyone near.

All the big boys are there. I saw Bill Balance, William Yokely and several others. Great time. I plan on going this year, too. Missed last years.

I ride at the Badlands quite a bit, too. I still want to meet up with you eRap. However, with my unempl. status and no insur. I'm nervous to go out. Would be my luck that I would get hurt and not be covered.

I'm looking forward to the Ironman. For the reason that Chad Duvall is trying to talk me into doing something that I don't think has been done at a national. It all depends on if I have my new ride and if it's still riding after the 12 hour race in Fort dodge the weekend before that. Chad's trying to get me to race the morning and afternoon race both. That's 4-5 hours of racing in one day. I don't know if I'll in good enough shape to do something like that. Plus the rules are unclear if it can or can't be done. One way to find out and why not on the roughest track. I have heard that 40% of the races don't finish the rac. I've never been there so I don't know how true that is.

Ironman isn't that bad, just a couple deep creeks and some mild hills. Not nearly as hard as The Wisp in Maryland was!

Hey LT, my 03 Blaze will be here in a few weeks!!! We just became a dealer for them.
