This weekend my hoses came off of my carbs. Are there any better hoses clamps for the carbs than the stock ones? 01 raptor.

I believe you can get the updated '02 carb boots for the '01 - not sure if they come with new clamps or not tho?!

I took my clamps off and ground 1/16" off of the spacer that is around the screw, this allows them to tighten down a little more. Just be careful not to over tighten them and rip your boots!

HERE IS THE BEST FIX OF ALL:::
TAKE THE CLAMPS OFF THE REAR SHOCK RESEVIOR AND USE THEM ON THE CARB BOOTS...PERFECT FIT....NOW GO AND BUY HOSE CLAMPS FROM A HARDWARE STORE AND USE THOSE ON THE SHOCK RESIVIOR...I DID THAT AND THEY ARE PERFECT....CAREFUL YOU DONT TIGHTEN THE CLAMPS ON THE CARB BOOTS TOO MUCH....IF YOU DO...YOUR BOOT WILL TEAR....YOU ALSO SHOULD CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL YAMAHA DEALER ABOUT THE HOW THE CARBS SHOULD BE ADJUSTED TO STOP THE LEAN IDLE BACKFIRE PROBLEM....THAT'S WHAT CAUSED YOUR CARBS TO COME OUT OF THE BOOTS.....GOOD LUCK.....

The best fix is automotive hose clamps they are inexpensive and do the job well.
