How much do you guys/gals think a 2002 400ex with the following should fetch for a trade in. Maier A-arm guards, Maier underbody skid plate, DG Baja swing Arm plate, 22" Maxxis razrs Rears, OMF Air scoops, AC Baja Bumper w/ mud screen, Front Frame/Oil Guard, DG Side Frame Guards, Case Saver, Billet Chain Guard, ATV Seat covers intimidator Cover, DG Headlight covers, Factory FX Graphics, Moose Hand guards. No engine Mods, 3 1/2 months old. The local dealer said $3600 site unseen, but could be worth more upon inspection. I can't believe that the value has dropped this much in such a short amount of time.

why would you want to sell it?? They always depreciate on trade ins. Best best is to sell parts aftermarket and sell bike on your own. Sounds like a nice bike.... what gives??

It is a nice quad, don't get me wrong but something about it just rubs me the wrong way. I have a 99 recon that has only depreciated 2K in 3 years while my 400 has decreased the same in 3 months. I really like the DS Baja but not the price. I went to the dealer last night and decided to stay red and keep the 400. I just put a reserve on the new CRF230F bike instead, that way I can have the best of both worlds!

Shelby, what's up with that? I thought you were set on the Baja?? Like other guys mentioned, it would be better to sell it yourself, or trade your bike in stock, and sell all your aftermarket parts seperately.

If you really do want the Baja, then go for it, no dealer is going to turn down a reasonable offer. I'd say you should be able to get one for around $6500, which is alot, but after your trade in, and selling the other parts, it shouldn't be too much more, and believe me, it will be well worth the upgrade, you could never upgrade your 400ex to get the same power the Baja has with that little amount of money. Just some advice, not trying to make up your mind for ya.

YOU'D HAVE TO BE OUT OF YOUR MIND TO SELL THAT THING FOR 3600. THE DEALERS ARE A RIP, SELL IT TO A PRIVATE PARTY YOU COULD PROLLY PULL OFF ANOTHER GRAND FOR THAT THING.

Put it back to stock, unload the mods on Ebay. Check kkb.com or nada.com for a book value on stock.
