39mm carb on 250r
#1
I bought a used 250r with a 39mm PWK carb on it, the other day a noticed that the previous owner slit the air box tube?(the plastic tube that extends from the airbox to the intake side of the carb)leaving a big gap between the two. Does anyone make a conversion or have a better system for making this fit???

FTM, not really sure how your airbox on the quad is setup. The 39PWK however, is the same carb we use on mod-Polaris'. You can just use a coned K&N with an Outerwear. If you contact Hotseatperformance.com, the larger filter they sell for the 42mm, is a larger unit (actually fits over the outer flange, but provides more surface area for better flow) They also sell the water-repellent Outerwear to fit that filter. If space doesn't allow, you can get the smaller filter/Outerwear from them also.

ftm, i run a 39 pwk on my honda 250r. i just stretched the stock honda air boot over the carb. no problem. after you do this a couple of times it will go on with out any trouble. also, if there is a slit between you air filter and carb (which would let dirt enter your engine) then buy a new air boot from honda. airtime
