02 griz warning light

Text ok-- is there any way to tell if the overheat light on this bad boy griz is working. my rubicon comes on at start-up, so you know it is alive. and of course i don't want to find out the hard way. easy question, i'm sure. but the dealer said - hmm- have to call yamaha on that. thanx to those who answer

Right under the carb, you will find a wire connected to the motor. If you slide it off its clip, it will open a circuit and cause your heat light to come on. It would be an easy way to check the light.
