300EX will not go in neutral
#4
yeah my 300 is real hard to put in neutral while its running to. but a method i use to help it get into neutral while running is to take a bungie cord and pull in the clutch handle and wrap it around. this releases the pressure on the clutch packs and makes it easier. i do this whenever i don't ride and now it will almost go into neutral everytime. something to try at least.

Same here.
I have a 96 and a 98 300Ex and neither one of them likes to go into neutral 75% of the time. Usually, I will just hold the clutch in, turn off the power, and then put it in neutral. Goes in real easy that way. I think it is just a 300EX thing.

Mine does that to, my dad a mechanic) says that one of the clutch plates might be warped, which would cause that. Since Honda isn't exactly known for strong clutches, that would be my best guess.
