How do you like your PR 360?
#1
I'm looking to buy our first atv, mainly for hunting and ice fishing. I have looked long and hard at all of them and "think" I've settled on a 2003 prairie 360.I have a 14 yr old and that's why I don't want the 650 right now.
For those of you that ride this 360 how do you like it? Good and bad.
How are the factory tires? The dealer said he would swap them out for some goodyear rawhides for $200 is this a good deal? Is it the best goodyear tire for this machine? Those goodyear tracker mud runners also look good, will they fit under this machine? I want a tire that is very puncture resistant, we ride in an area with allot of cactus and thorny brush.
Any info will be greatly appreciated, I'm paying $4600 out the door for this bike brand new.
Thanks a bunch

We bought the Prairie 360 just before the labor day weekend...We drive ours in the Black Hills area..Deadwood/Galena etc..Hard sharp rocks, tree roots.steep canyons...I too was wondering about the size/power etc on the 360...However...we were amazed on Kawasakis power and quality of the machine...its quiet....I have a 650 Red prairie comming in sometime this week,so we both had to double...steep hills no problem...I also did not see the oil cooler on it in the showroom..so on the trail it started up and I thought what the heck is that...it has a radiator for engine oil with a electric fan on...just super unit !!!!..great MPG too..too early to tell you about the tires..but we carry a flat tire kit with us..I will change tires later..first thing we want is a GPS..I have one on order..got lost and took a 7 mile ride...the Price of $4600.00 OTDoor sounds too good to be true..I live in central Minnesota ..what town and dealer do you have..We paid $5100.00 tax and license extra....an 03 for $46000.00...Buy it before the dealer sobers up....!!!!...let me know how you like it after you drive it for 100 miles.. allow at least 5 hours before it starts performing right...make sure you let it warm up before ripping off..... Thanks for getting back with me so quick,I'm happy to hear you like that 360 so much!A buddy of mine has the 650, I've rode it some and it really hauls.
No one in my area of western ND rides Kawasaki atv's, but a good friend of mine lives in the mtns of WY in some really rank stuff and he uses the **** out of a little 300 4x4. He can't say enough good things about his kawi, he wishes it would bite the dust so he could get a new larger one. But we haul out quartered elk and every thing with that little bugger, it's very impressive!
The price is correct on the 360, and the 650 is a grand more and that's also out the door.
Speaking of Minn. WOW WAS THAT HOT AT HAYDAYS THIS WEEKEND!!! AND FUN!!
But that was one of the hottest things I've ever done. There sure isn't much for atv's there, allot of junk. I wish Kawasaki would have had a tent there with some of thier bikes.
Thanks again

Just took mine in for it's 1st dealer checkup at 15 hrs. Did a 47 mile poker run a few days ago. WOW!! The places we went with it. Rocks like shark's teeth, 3 feet of gumbo-mud, steep long hills, fire trails, power-lines, streams, etc. Can't say enough about the machine. I have a 13 yr. old son and I, too, felt that he would get seriously hurt with the 650. It has way too much ***** for him. The 360 does everything I ask with aplomb. No lack of power, ever. The only time the 650's get away from me is when we're running over open fields for any length of time. Lots of torque for mud and hills, great brakes. I haven't had any problem with the tires, except in sand, where they dig in too much; remember, this machine is surprisingly powerful for it's size! Love it, love it, love it!!! I can break the rear wheels loose very easily to slide around turns or (if in 4x4 mode) to straighten it out while in a turn. Fun stuff!!
