I now i've seen this topic in the past but haven't been able to find what i'm looking for.
What is the easiest and safest way to overide the reverse button on my '00 Scrambler 500? (without needing to read wiring diagrams and taking things apart)

Aaron, does holding down the button all the time affect anything else, like reverse lights, or any lights, or anything at all except what that dumb button is designed for? Any changes while the quad is moving forward?

Follow the link in my signature for instructions on many electrical modifications, including the reverse override override. Look in ATV Odds & Ends.

All the override button does is stop you from going full speed in reverse.

Sometimes, my reverse light stays on..some times it doesn't. That's the only difference i noticed

Your odds and ends folder is empty. I am looking for dummies 101 on fixing the reverse overide.. I either screw up my 4wd or the motor runs erratically. I have a 96 magnum 4x4
