I was working on the Recon tonight, I left the garage for a sec. Meanwhile my shop light fell off of its hook and landed on my seat. Now I have a 2 inch hole in my nice seat cover on my '01 Recon. Anyone know where I might be able to aquire a replacement one? Thanks for any info provided.

Take the seat to your local upholstery shop. They should be able to re-pad it and re-cover it for around 40 bucks.

Some of the factory seats are very cheap. You can purchase the cover, foam, and plastic base all assembled for the price of some aftermarket seat covers. A 400EX seat complete is only around $60 brand new [factory]. Also check different years because even though they are the same seat they can be different prices. Spindles on '03 400EX are about half the price of the '99-'02, so check all the years.

If your foam is fine, then you don't need a complete seat.

You can get a new cover from many different mail order companies as well as a few online aftermarket companies.

Your dealer can also get you one from travelcade for about $25.00, It's already sewn to fit. Just take off the old and staple on the new one.

Thanks for the help all, I took knowsalot's advice and ordered a aftermarket cover from travelcade turned out being $38. A new seat was $75. Thanks again.
