Does anyone know how to figure out the year model? I have a new project and I believe it is mid 80's.

 

The VIN number is located on the steering head of the frame where the fork goes through the frame.

1979........ATC110-2000005-

1980........TB02-2000001-

1981-1985 models can be identified by the 9th character in the serial number from the left.

B......1981
C......1982
D......1983
E......1984
F......1985

If for some reason the numbers are rusted so that it cannot be read fully, let me know and I will give other info for finding the year model.

 

I looked at the VIN # and the 9th character is a number. The VIN # is as follows...JH3TB0201DC425352...appreciate the help.

 

ooops......My mistake.....It's the 10th digit from the left.

Your ATC110 is a 1983 model.

Sorry for the confusion. You would think after reading over a dozen of these each day, i would get it right after hours...LOL

 

I had a brand new '82 atc110 that was my first atv , holy cow , that was twenty years ago. The '82 had a dark blue stripe across the tank. The '81 had a white stripe with blue letters. The '83 and up had a newer style safety seat that went onto the sides of the gas tank that also had a blue stripe. I also remember the blue stripe on the '83 and newer having kind of a sideways L check to it. The 81 and 82 stripes were straight across. Hope that helps. Where in TX are you?
