Ive finally got my methanol kit installed in the 650, i drained all the gas out of it and filled with some methanol, a good start, now when it starts and before it can get warm it will backfire out of the carb, and kill itself, i have the 230 main jet, and the 60 polit jet, i live about 1500 feet above sea level. any help would be great thanks

 

and the clip on the needle is in the middle if this helps

 

It is probably you air/fuel mixture screw.

I installed the same kit and tried the exact same settings, Then immediatly went to the largest main,and pilot (air/fuel 1 turn out)that the kit offers and it was better. now I am drilling my pilot jet even bigger and trying it out this weekend.
