I have heard of 400ex a-arms being put on 300ex's. I was wondering how difficult it is, and what, if any, modifications would be needed. I have an opprtunity to get the a-arms, brake lines and tierods from a 400ex. Anything else I need to do the job?
Experience would be appreciated.

I have 250R arms on my X... You only need the arms and the tierods. You will need to either build new upper shock mounts to lower them or buy new shocks. I bought new shock from Works. Sandy at works set me up with some dual rates after I took a few measurements... I have friends who built their own lowering mounts and that works fine too.

Your brake lines, brkaes, hub and spindles will all work.
