guys you need to check this one out.i would bet all of you need this one. we noticed a little oil in the air box on the moto and then we found this bulletin. it reroutes the vent hoses and enlarges them. the easiest way to tell if you need it is this. the bolt you take out to drain the engine oil, if it has a hose on it you need the upgrade. the upgrade does away with that hose and you end up with just a drain plug there with no hose on it

Any idea what the problem is? I don't like taking my quad to the dealer as they are clueless. If there is no known issue then I will just leave it the way it is.

the bulletin said it happened most of the time on quads that were raced or run at high rpm for an extended period of time. it will cause oil to blow into tour air box and on the air filter

Mine has the hose.I guss mine needs the update but so far no oil in the air box or filter.I have also hit the rev limiter plenty but no oil.I dont like that hose anyway its just something that will get old and have to be replaced eventually. So I will get the update done.

thats why i have told people to go to the bulletin and read it. cannondale explains it a lot better than i do. most i have talked to have not had the problem and may choose to leave things the way they are.my personal feelings is that it is a free cannondale upgrade and i plan to take advantage of it. also we have noticed small amounts of oil in our air box and our quad is raced only. the upgrade seems to be pretty simple and most of te guys that do their own maintenance should have no trouble doing it their self. just trying to help out fellow cannondale owners

Ya, it also changes the banjo drain bolt to a regular drain bolt so you won't have to worry about dropping a washer.

i had it done a few weeks ago
no charge from my friendly cannondale dealer
make sure you schedule it...the parts have to be ordered from cannondale
no sense in letting your quad sit at the dealer...
