When it comes to race fuel what are the pros and cons of unleaded v. leaded fuels? I was on VPs web site and they have more fuel types than I can comprehend. I thought somebody on here would know or would have tried enough of them to have some input on the subject.

In the book it recommends unleaded fuel. I run "76" 100 octane unleaded fuel and it works great.

Where are you getting your "76", 100 octane fuel from? I know my 76 stations only go up to 91 octane.

VP-C25 is for pro stock bikes, i think it would work well for single cylinder engines. if you don't have high compression you will be wasting your money of race fuel.

leaded fuel is made for race engines. the lead gets heavier as the octane increases. older model engines are design to use leaded fuels. unleaded race fuel is used in NOS fuel injected cars. leaded fuels would mess the computer system up in the EFI cars. does this help?

Eaglecollector
the "76" is not the gas station where you get it. The fuel is called "76 race gas" My friends and I have found that it makes the jetting on our bikes less tempermental to weather changes than VP race gas. IT is also the best smelling gas i've come across yet.

It does smell sweet. And it burns really clean, no black build up on the end of the pipe.
