Hey guys. I don't think I know any of you but I used to post at atvconnection a lot a few years ago. I have not really checked on this forum for 6 months or more and I have a few comments now that I have.

I don't own a 'Dale but put this post here because I am still in awe of Cannondale pulling all stops and producing a true high-performance quad. I would definately have bought a 'Dale if I would not have quit racing at the end of last season. Cannondale was the first to give us die-hard high performance quad enthusiasts what we wanted and I was one of the first to support them even before the 1st quad was released.

When I last checked in we had CornDog causing all kind of problems and his sole existence in these forums was to cause trouble. I was glad to see him banned and now we have Captain following in his footsteps. I did a search and read some of Captains posts but not a lot of them. It appears he is cut from the same mold as our beloved corndog and I did not see anything constructive. I have no idea if a ban is deserving but if someone just wants to start wars then they don't deserve their membership. And no Captain my comments have nothing to do with you not liking Cannondale, it's your approach and lack of insight and explanations. I have never been fond of Raptors or Banshees but I have always explained my reasons with facts and truth's. Do a search and find some old posts to see how you can hold ground on a position without being offensive.

I am glad to see at least some constructive posts and I guess there will always be some level of flaming on an internet forum. We used to have some very good and helpful posts and if any of you newer guys have not seen them it may be worth the time to go back and take a look. You could do a search or here are a few links:

These threads were meant to help other riders and were well received. I thought some new members may find them helpful but if not then that's fine too.

I still own my 500RX and my son has an LT80. I am not racing anymore but still enjoy pounding some laps on my quad now and then. I am even planning on buying a Prairie 650 4WD for plowing and doing some work around our property! Never thought I would be so lame (or become so old) that I would want a utility, LOL. But I will always keep my 500RX as I will never get near the money I have invested in it. I still follow the pro quad results and my family took a trip to watch the quad national at Mt. Morris this year after attending and racing Red Bud for several years.

Well I have written a book as I usually seem to do. Take care all and I plan to check back in a little more often than once a year, hehe.

Great info, I saw a lot of similarities in the posts on jumping that I do each time I get to the track. I don't really have any comments on Captain, he provides good humor at times and makes even the biggest idiot look wise.........JIM

i feal the same blodg500RX the Banshee isnt a good MXer and was built for raw speed in the dunes and a raptor is to hevy for MX but good for trail rideing and putting around even tho it is a little big along w/ a DS650 its just BIG and hard to push around that is y i baught a cannondale it fit me well and it dose have the power like the other quads and i feel its easyer to ride the reason i didnt buy a 400ex was because i dont like where the oil cooler is if the cooler was in another place i would of prolly baught one of those but im happy w/ the Cannondale

You know some of us

It's been a while since I've seen your userid pop up... I don't post much here anymore either, but I do visit every now and then and throw my .02 in....

I was banned a while back for some reason, so now I have a new userid, although it's similar to my old one - 86atc250r

Default A Few Obversations From an Old Timer

Hey Gabe! Good to hear from you. Actually I looked for your username last time I checked in around 6 months ago and I could not find it. Now I see why.

motorider, no I am not Dave but I do know who you are talking about. I did race at Milan almost every weekend last year and the few years before that. Actually the action photo link I put in the bottom of my post was taken at Milan in the old "six-pack" they had a few years ago but they replace it last year with that huge double. Anyways my quad is very similiar to Dave's but it is not the same quad.
