Default Glamis this weekend! ????? Anyone???

Allright you guy's it looks like the plans have changed again!? It looks like we are going to Glamis this weekend, I finally got DS Dude talked into riding again and I guy at work keeps telling me there are these huge hills that you can't even climb and massive 6 story deep bowls. Now is he B.S. ing me or what?! Anyway it sounds to good to be true but we decided to find out for ourselves this weekend. It also gives us a chance to get a lay of the land for next weekend. Anybody have any Ideas were a good place to park is, since we will be coming in late at night, we don't want to get buried our lost. If anyone else is interested let me know I have room for maybe one possibly 2 people in my trailer. How about it Larry do you wnat to meet up with us?

Since it is a holiday weekend, I would recomend the washes, anywhere from wash 10 down you won't have a hard time finding a place to camp. As far as huge hills and massive bowls, its all true. Makes pismo look like a joke. Deffinitly check out hill #5 aka "china wall", its a steep hill that borders the closed area. As far as get a lay of the land, I would say its harder to do that when its so crowded. I got a GPS on my handle bars with all the major points storred in it, helps alot. Besides the great dune riding, on the holiday weekends there are always great sites to be seen. Olds during the day, Sand Drags in the afternoon, Comp at night and somewhere in between boardmanvile. I would love to go this weekend, although Im also goin next weekend when all my friends are goin. Its not cheap making all these trips between gas, food and beer! When you guys leaving/comming back? If you don't mind me asking, whats the age group that you usally go with? How long do u think it will take to get there? I haven't been there since I moved, used to live in San diego and it was a quick n easy 2 hour trip.

Right on Larry sounds good I will let you know. Do you have a phone or cell number I can get you at? the age group I ride with really varies but mostly people from 30 to 45, I haven't really mt anyone younger yet but I think it would be fun. Oh wait I think Demon is in his 20's still but I don't remember exactly. I will ride with just about anybody. Hey Larry if you need a place to crash overnight I have one spot available. That Glen Helen deal sounds cool also. I am sorry if I haven't been able to get back to some of you I am stupid busy working and trying to catch up with my mods at night when I get home. Don't buy a rear sprocket from Ron Woods, I tell you man I am tired of having to Modify them to get them over the Sprocket Hub, I am going to tell Elliot about it tommorow. I hope to be leaving Friday night and getting there if all goes well by no later than 2:00 a.m. If not I will probably leave around 4:00 a.m. and be there around 8:30 am ish. I will keep you posted.

Yikes! that chain problem sounds like a bitch. Went to Glamis last thanksgiving and it is huge to say the least, and it is a zoo in some areas. It is a trip to see every imaginable contraption on the planet, golf carts to $100,000 sand rails. I'm definitly considering a Gps before I go again, a new Garmin Rhino looks like the dkine. Got kinda turned around at Dumont a couple of times to. Razor back city, oh I mean Dumont is still freaken great, no fee, yet. Get a map at Cahulla ranger station on Gecko rd. American flag out front you can't miss it, pay whatever puny camping fee. Then see if you can ride over 118,000 acres in a weekend. RR. Planning a trip or two this november some how. Looking foward to riding with ya soon, and get some freaken sleep, and leave at 4:00 am or you'll be cranky and angry baja boy. latter.
