I picked my recon up Sat.

I love it...Its not a raptor nor a grizzzly...but the dang thing is fun as both together.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I now have to get my trails back in order since they have grown up.

I got it stuck for about 45min on a ruttted out hill. But I did get out and up.

I still like ours 99 model after three and half years.

For what you get, it is still a good quad for the money.

It will for sure go through the woods very fast, but sometimes when going around corners quickly it is a little tippee, but I have learned to deal with it through body English.

Congrats ku4gi,

We got our Recons last year and love them.Havent had any trouble with them yet.Hopefully this year we'll plow some snow and strap some deer on them.Have fun ridin.

 

im glad yall like/love yalls be i hate mine. The motor itself has been built twice since ive owned it and now its waiting on a new motor cause the connecting rod broke in half and busted everything inside the motor that it could touch. mine is a 1999 model.

I love riding my cousin's Recon. She got it the day after I got my 300EX (got mine on Christmas Day, she got hers the day after), anyways, that thing is so peppy and fun, I just love it, the suspension even feels pretty good to me, actually even better than the 250EX, if there's one thing I wish it had, its more top speed, but its something that I can live without, and something I know my cousin can live without. Good luck with your Recon.

 

i was haulin a deer out of the woods when it happened, i was about 1/4 throttle when this occoured. oh yeah i had just changed the oil like two days prior to this happening, when i got it home i checked the oil and it was full. i havent touched it in about a year. i tore the motor down to see what all was wrong with it and when i seen what happened i put everything in a box and pushed the recon into the back of the shed and put the box with all my motor parts on the back rack.
