Default CV Shaft Kit for 450s

Does anyone know where I can get a CV shaft kit at a reasonable price for a 1999 Foreman 450s. I checked Honda of Troy and they want $247.00 PER SIDE!!!!!! Any help is appreciated.

Ouch! Did you rip a boot or have another mechanical failure?

I don't know what happened but the front end clicks and pops, especially when I turn. Other than the noise, it still works fine though.

One other thing you should know about is that if you have changed the front differential gear lube and put in other than original equipment fluid it will chatter on turns. You need to put in some limited slip additive. The GM stuff works good and will stop chatter in the front end. Also the parts to repair a cv-joint are available separately. No need to replace the whole thing unless its broke.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check on the individual parts after I tear into it. Oh yeah, I already have the GM diff. fl. addative.

I was scanning ads in DirtWheels, saw aftermarket inboard cv joints "better than OEM" advertised by some parts house. What you describe sounds like CV, can you isolate it to just one? Maybe you don't need a shaft with cv at each end.
