I'am courious what you bought with ur bonus money when you buy a new honda or whatever. I am thinking about getting a helmet or what else can you buy with it?

 

I bought a 400ex and put money into boots. But if you dont have a helmet and goggles you definetly need them.

 

Yeah for sure!!! Do you get to choose right on the spot or do they order the stuff?

 

I used it to pay on the 400ex and then I used the bonus bucks I got for my cr250 the same way.

 

My dealer ripped me off when we told hime we were gonna buy it in NH unless they lowered the price and they took the bonus bucks away but lowered the price. We didn't relize it until we saw the receipt. Our Honda dealer is so evil!!!!! The same thing also happened to my friends dad's 450es. Evil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has this happened to anyone else?

my dealer on the other hand was cool...I told him the mark up was to high on merchandise so he gave me ($400 in store for the 300 bonus bucks) I'm sure there stuff is marked up 100% anyhow, lol. But I got a folding ramp($150), Helmet ($150), goggles ($40), & two pair of gloves ($50). Some dealers offer great deals but KEEP the bonus bucks for there pockets......

so What did you say to the dealer everything is marked up to high in here, then he goes i will give you more money then or what cause iam going into the dealer soon. And do you get to choose the stuff right on the spot or what?

 

yep thats it. I told the guy I can get these things cheaper online.......most dealers prices are very high compared to most online services.......they have more bills (rental space, taxes, advertising, etc.) typically they charge more for things because of convienence !!!!!! here's my take....helmet, there price $149.00 bought the same one for my son online for $89.00 plus shipping ($10). goggles, there price $39.99. same one online cost me $25.00, gloves, there price $25.00 each, online cost me $20....so as you can see I REALLY didn't get $400 worth of merchandise , the helmet alone was over $50 cheaper.
(the ramp was a wash, $150 there's , $150 online)

the guy know where i was comming from, and personnally I never buy anything without haggling, lol

never hurts too try !!!!!!!!! all they can say is NO !!!! and yes I walk out with them on the spot !!!!
