how much faster in a straight line drag is the 3 wheeler? if it is at all?

 

Stock for stock the atc will win everytime, it is lighter and had a higher compression head. This is assuming your talking about the 85-86 atc 250r.

hey are those atc250r worth lots or are they worth more as a quad
are then engines the same?
my uncle has one of those atc250rs

 

They can be...it just depends on the condition of the bike and the year also any mods that the bike has on it.. I have seen some of the 85-86 year models sell for over 2500 in good condition and most early year (83-84) sell for around 1000-2000 if they are in good condition.

The trx 250r used a different motor than the 85-86 atc 250r. The atc used a 8:1 compression ratio where the trx used a 7.5:1. The atc was also 40lbs lighter than the trx (290 vs 330lbs). I've seen some cherry atc 250r's go for over 3 grand on e-bay, but a stock cherry trx will bring about 4-5 grand.
