I just got a 03 ds 650 baja about a month ago. NO problems so far other then defective battery. But anyways, i live in florida and have been riding at big scrub in OCALA lots of sand, clay pits and trails. Im looking into getting more power and speed, and i was wondering what would be good to start out wiht ex: what is a good pipe kit for the DS. Not many people have them around here that i know of, i have only seen 2 out at ocala when i was riding and their was about 500 quads out their. I had ot buy mine in Virginia becasue none of the delears had 03 yet and sell it to me 4 6500.

look at www.rotax.net ron wood racing has 3 different kits to choose from, depending on how much you want to spend, i started with the stage I kit, ignition box,pipe,carb,manifold,wow what an eye opener!!! it really comes alive. then when you'r ready it wont hurt so much to go up to the next step because you will already have the basic stuff. now i'm running the stage III and loving it!!!

There a million go fast parts for the DS, and a million opinions to go with each one - read all previous posts by doing a search for your topic, and think long and hard before purchasing anything - you will find plenty to chew on, especailly about pipes and tires!

 

all i've done 2 mine is put a uni filter and took my end cap off and cut off the restrictor tubes and spark arrestor, and i can do wheelies alot easier now and i have 22" back tires
