Check out this picture off the Polaris website to be used as a background. I won't tell you what's wrong yet, but lets see if you can pick up on it yourself. Here it is:

I think it looks like his hand isn't on the handle bar. Seems like he is reaching for the shifter.
i circled what i see..

OK, so what is it ???
Looks like he's trying to shift while moving...That wouldn't work on my quad!!
Wait, its the remington package...and it has the front and rear bumpers and the rack extentions...
This one doesn't have any of it but it does have the remington graphics????? (am I right)??

The picture makes the Sportsman look like it is moving fast but the rider's right hand is not on the throttle ... it is on his leg. Tough to be flying along with only your left hand on the bars ....

He is sitting still, and simply shifting from one range to another. He is stopped, you can see how it's in perfect focus, and some of the blurred parts have little glimps of focus in them too.
They simply blurred everything around the subject of the photo to make it appear he was moving fast. I have made these types of images before, it's easy with a image editor, and it looks good to get the speed effect. My guess is they did it to gain the speed effect, but also so that they could take to still shot to make sure the "Polaris" and "Sportsman" logos were still in clean focus. Of course...
So yes, his hands weren't on the bars. To be shifting ranges means he has to be stopped, because we all hate that grinding noise...
For everyone who replied to this, it's nice to know that I am not the only one with time to kill.
