Default I Need Some Seirous Help and Opinions

Alright last week I was riding my 300EX and it was runnning the best i think since ive had it,this week the engine can barely start and when it does the atv boggs and or stalls. I cannot ride it above 2nd gear and when i do ride it in 1st and 2nd its gotta be full throttle or else its going to stall. Ive already checked my battery and choke. This is not all though, last night our house got it pretty bad, mailbox broken off its pole,150lbs pumpkin smashed on our porch and another 5 smashed again. This wasnt teenagers etc either..problly the many that hate us. BUt since my quad was in my shed a good acre or so from the road i wonder if that person got in their and put something in my gas tank, the gas has a kerosene smell to it, ive asked many peple to see what they think. I just hope to god its not sugar or water. ANy advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

drain the tank and your carb and put new gas in it before you try to run it again. Also, check your air filter and your snorkle (if you use one) something might be clogging it up and choking the motor out. what color is the smoke that is coming out of the pipe?

I hope nobody screwed with it, was it locked up?

Every engine runs best right before it blows! Ask anyone who has blown one.

If you think you have something in the gas, drain it now. I had a drag race between my 410x and a 400ex scheduled for a saturday afternoon. Halfway down the track, I fried a piston. Come to find out, the guy was at my house that morning while I was a work. He added some sugar to the alcohol and it caused me to seize a piston.

I'm with AlkyBurninX, either its blown up or sugared. Could very well be either one, are all of your other vehicles running fine? Seems to me they would sugar a car before a quad, its a bigger loss. Also the way you said it ran better before it started this.... signs really point to block problems.

I agree with all the people that have posted on this topic, but I would also check the plug. I was running my 300 honda about a year and a half ago, then it started spitting and spuddering horrably and I checked everything out and about two months later I finally pulled the plug and it was totally fouled out. The plug was four years old and I didn't ever think to change in. It ran for 3 miles like crap and I kept having to gear down and give it less and less throttle, it died when I got to my drive so I coasted down and it would not start back up. The motor cranked over fine but I checked the oil and it had been sending gas down the silender the whole time and the oil in the crankcase was a yellow color and smelled like gas. Hope this helps and good luck.

"problly the many that hate us."

Why does the many hate you is the question here?

Thank you all very much for your replies, i found the problem and it was water that someone had put into the gas tank. I drained the carburator and the tank.Today i got a fresh tank of 94 octane and added some dry gas to it. I also cleaned the filter....They many that hate us is a long story...to shorten ill just say my parents are closing an estate. Thank you all very much
