SMOKIN' HONDA 200SX
#1
I have a 200sx I just bought used and it was burning a little oil. After I changed it to a synthetic oil I cleaned the air filter and there was SAND INSIDE THE FILTER. does this damage to the engine stay within the valves or down to the cylinder too? Does anyone have a hopped up rebuild kit for it? It feels like its losing low end compression (lack of power when I load it in my truck) HEELLLPPPP!

It sounds like you need a top-end rebuild, sand is very hard on any moving parts, especially cylinders and rings. Also when looking and a quad, bike or whatever, you should always check the filter and engine oil for an indication of the owners maintence. And it sounds as if you knew it was smoking when you bought it, so you should have been prepared to be doing an engine rebuild. You should just go ahead and fix it, because if you can feel a dramatic loss of power, then your engine might be severely damaged. Continued running time can cause even more damage and 4-strokes with severe damage can do the same to your wallet.
